Prevent conflicts when editing position gross prices manually
If you manually edit the gross price of a tender and its position or a position and its subposition, the tender's or position's gross price may differ from the sum of its subpositions' gross prices.
You can configure calculation settings to help prevent such conflicts by either preventing such manual edits or by warning about them. You can also mark positions where such conflicts occur.
Edit calculation settings
You can configure calculation settings to warn about or to prevent you from editing tender or position gross prices in position paths that already include manually edited gross prices.
A position path is a sequence of subpositions from the tender to the lowest-level position. The image below shows an example of a position path.
To edit calculation settings that concern manually edited position gross prices, follow these steps:
On the main window’s toolbar, click Settings .
In the pane at the left, click Calculation.
Under If you edit the gross price of a position in a position path that already includes manually edited gross prices, select one of the following checkboxes:
Prevent the edit You cant’ edit a tender’s or position’s gross price if it belongs to a position path that already includes manually edited gross prices.
Warn about the edit A warning appears when you edit the gross price of a tender or position that belongs to a position path that already includes manually edited gross prices
Note: Broker Estimate only prevents or warns about manual edits that you do in the Edit Position or Edit tender dialogue, that is, if you open a position’s or tender’s details to edit them. The settings described above don’t affect edits that you do to the gross prices of a tender’s top-level positions in the Position pricing dialogue.
Mark edited positions
You can see position paths that include several positions whose gross price is edited manually by marking lines by condition and choosing the condition Position path includes several positions that have a manually edited gross price.
